Flexible Ceramic adhesives offer excellent electrical, thermal and chemical resistance. Our adhesives, in contrast to organic-based materials, will not outgas under high vacuum. All operating conditions such as temperature, thermal cycling, humidity, corrosion and electrical requirements should be considered before selecting an adhesive.
350°F for 3 hours - then cool to ambient temperature
For metals, we suggest abrading the metal surface with 1000 grit sanding at 0,90 degrees, then cleaning the surface and apply a thin coat of the adhesive to each side and cure. Blistering may occur if glue line is too think or heating is too rapid.
Pot Life @ 77°F Mixed - 180 days
Color: Clear or as desired
Viscosity: approximately 2-10 (Pa.S) 2000-10,000 (CP) @ 77°F
Specific Gravity: 2.00 grams per cc/sq
Bonds well with oxidizing materials
Shelf life - 1 year- stored @ 40°F
Specific hardness target - hardened rubber
Formula can be varied by adding additional catalyst for rapid cure cycle or to meet production requirements. Cure cycles will vary - shelf life will be reduced.
Flexible Ceramics' High Temperature Adhesive is an inorganic formulation for bonding and sealing ceramics, metals, textiles, glass, aluminum and composite materials used in application to 1250°F. This advanced formulation enables high thermal resistance allowing engineers to solve problems in the "Red Heat Zone" (600-1250°F) that were impossible before with organic based products. It is environmentally safe with no out-gassing and no volatile organic compounds.Type your paragraph here.
Store at 40°F for longer shelf life. Mix thoroughly before use.
Bonding surfaces should be clean and dry. The bonded surface should be held in contact until the adhesive is set. Minimal bonding pressure required - 15 ft. lbs. torque (approximately 200 psi). Parts should remain in fixture for the cure cycle.
